Well, not only did he start in New York (Anyone with creative merrit starts out in the east) but he headed west.

You're missing the jazz, the migrant camps, the lack of money, the black men, the mexican prostitutes, mexico, bisexual orgies, underage sex, and the uncanny ability to show and describe it all romantically.

To say your little road trip was compariable to the realms of "On The Road" is sacrilegious to anyone who has enjoyed the novel.

None the less, it looks fun.
